I have the ASUS P7P55D-E Pro, it performs great but mine came with the high pitched noise that have been in the reviews (/facepalm why didn't I listen). It's not too bad I guess because it only occurs when the system is idle. Hopefully Asus can fix it, rumor is that it was just a bad batch. Maybe RMA will fix it :/

does it have the foxconn socket / backplate or the lotes one?
plz reply soon because i think that the bad datch comes with the foxconn socket (although not necessarily related to the noise cause).

as a user previously stated... there was some high pitched nose associated with the asus board... if are ok with it... or a new batch with rectified boards come out u can stick with asus.. giga-byte too is good...
