how do I restore my acer laptop to factory setting

Just remove the RTS battery (Lithium CR 2032) from the motherboard and set it aside for 10 to 15 minutes. Then re-install the battery. This will set the BIOS to factory defaults.

The battery is visible when you remove the memory cover under the laptop.
