I'm wondering of how much watts do i have to buy a power supply for a computer that i'm planning on building that features the next specs:

OS: Windows 7
CPU: Inter i5 750
RAM: 8 GB ddr3 1333 mhz
HDD: 500 GB SATA II
Video: ati Radeon 4870 1gb ddr5
Motherboard: Intel DP55WB

I'm guessing around 700 watts, but i want to know your opinion, and if i can a lesser model...

Thanks...

You actually don't need that much unless you plan to Crossfire your graphics card.

Corsair CMPSU-550VX 550W - $79.99 after rebate (sadly it seems out of stock today)

Well, damn. I just checked 2 others I'd recommend and they're on auto-notify (sold out) too.

^5 +1 what Viper said.

The general rule of thumb is a high quality 500 to 550 watt power supply with sufficient current (amps) on the 12 volt rail(s) can easily power a computer system with any single video card made.

The Corsair VX550 suggested by Viper is an excellent high quality power supply. It has earned high marks in technical reviews. It's stable, reliable, and comes with a 5 year warranty.
