Hello guys, i was checking the stats on i7 920 and i7 860 and i couldn't find the difference between them besides i7 920 is 2.66 and i7 860 is 2.8, which one should i buy? theres only 21 cents difference in the price, im new here so i dont know if i can ask this here but well i'll ask.
im buying a motherboard MSI P55-GD65 http://www.msicomputer.com/index.php?func=proddesc&prod_no=1880&maincat_no=1
and im buying cooler master v8 http://www.coolermaster-usa.com/product.php?category_id=1623&product_id=2869 , ok the question is... can i OC the i7 920 to 3.2 Ghz and keep my PC on for a week without turning it off? like ... my i7 wont burn? and whats the lifetime on an i7 920 OC to 3.2 Ghz if i never turn off my PC? How does HT work? do i have to active it somewhere in the BIOS or it actives automatic?
Sorry if i posted this in the wrong section and sorry about my english this is my first time posting here

Its two processors that are on different platforms. They have many differences, some are that the 920 is for the 1366 platform and X58 chipset while the 860 is on the 1156 platform for the p55 chipset. Other differences include the 920 using triple channel memory bandwidth while the 860 uses dual channel. Thier connections are a bit different also. The 920 uses QPI while 860 uses DMI (which also includes partial QPI). They have a different clockrate also. The 920 has a 2.66Ghz while the 860 has 2.8Ghz.
