Hey guys, I recently asked for some advice about graphics cards in the other forum and I ended up getting some useful advice on getting an aftermarket fan for my CPU to overlock my system.

I have since recieved the cooler and I installed it earlier. However this will be the first time I am attempting overclocking and I'm a little apprehensive, is there anything I should know? What would be a reasonable first start? Is there anything I should do before I start?

This is my current setup:

Mobo - Gigabyte GA-870A-UD3
Processor - AMD Phenom II x4 965 3.4Ghz (using a Noctua NH-D14 cooler)
Memory - 4GB DDR3
GFX - Radeon HD4890
Soundcard - Creative SB X-Fi Titanium
800w PSU

I am on a 1680x1050 resolution

I am not so great with computers so you might need to dumb things down for me a little

Thanks for any advice you can give me
!
