Chaps,

I've 8GB of ram total, in a 4 x 2 config. They are not 4 pieces of matched pairs, but 2 x matched each. im underclocking the rams to achieve tighter timings C7-7-7-20/1T at moment from Stock 9-9-9-24/2T/1866 OCZ Plats Dual Channel.

i believe i would have slotted the sticks in sequencially being DIMM1,2,3 and 4. Simply saying i have 1st pair in DIMM 1 and 2, and 2nd pair in Dimm 3 and 4 at the moment. OBviously running Dual channel, should these be 1st pair in Dimm 1 and 3 slots, and the other 2nd and 4th slots ? Essentially making sticks in both channel identical. Thoughts ?

yes, definitely would be good info. Saw this being mentioned in another thread but it was just a statement, nothing more. My OC has passed 8 hour runs in linX, but it would just be good to know if this actually does make a difference.
