Hi,

I'm looking foward to OC my processor. I've got a I5-2500k and I was wondering wich cpu cooler would be the best for me. I'm looking to OC up to 3.8Ghz or mayber 4.0Ghz. Since there's a special on the V8 at the moment, they are quite the same price. So pricing is not an issue. If you got any other suggestion I would consider it.

My system is :

Processor : I5-2500k 3.3Ghz
Case : Antec ThreeHundred
Memory : Kingston HyperX 8Gb (2x4Gb)
Motherboard : Gigabyte Ga-z68a-d3h-b3
Gpu : 2 x GTX 260 maxcore OC2
Psu : Thermaltake TR-2 750w
Operating system : Windows 7 64b

Thanks.

This is a hard one, The v8 is supposed to be better but reading reviews and from a friends experiences with it, it really seems big and expensive and not as good as it should be. I have the 212 it rocks

3.8-4.0 is such a low OC, it is attainable on the stock cooler with "safe" temps, though I wouldn't do it. But either cooler would be fine and get you to 4.5+ but every place I looked said the v8 is better.

go for the corsair h70 or h100 allot better! But if its between the 2 I would say Hyper 212 its light and cools very well!

212+ is a better cooler then a V8.
Test results using hotter cpu's then SB.

I could link more test results to prove this but i'm lazy this comparison is old news.
