Just a quick question about gaming

Hello all and thanks to all that helped me last time. Now I have one more question. I about about to purchase this M.B and I want to game a little bit. http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=5024447&CatId=4297. Question is 1.) is that processor better than a core 2 duo 8200 for gaming? and 2.) what exactly is hybrid cross fire technology? Does that mean if I put in a video care it will function like sli?

They'd perform about the same in games.

Hybrid Crossfire is using a discrete GPU and an integrated graphics chip together. Standard CrossFire is basically ATi's version of SLI with 2 dedicated GPU's. And Hybrid CrossFire X is using 2 GPu's and the integrated graphics chip.

Hello and welcome to the forums
I agree with Viper,both CPUs will performs near each other and since your priority is gaming,then most games are GPU limited so getting a good VGA is more important because as i said the difference between them isn't much in gaming.

Hey and thanks alot. Im not a "HARDCORE" gamer but I do play sports games and I have a pentium d 820 which sucks and a nvidia 9400 gt which is worse. It run COD:MW good but nothing else lol. Bestbuy has this card that supporst crossfire. I know its not the best but its better than the 9400gt and it runs crossfire. What you think about this card teamed up with the phenom listed in my original post, and it supporst crossfire with the hybrid crossfire on board. http://www.bestbuy.com/site/VisionTek+-+ATI+RADEON+HD+4350+512MB+DDR2+PCI+Express+Graphics+Card/9200991.p?id=1218057381797&skuId=9200991&st=ati%20graphics&cp=1&lp=10 but this the same card with 80 stream processors so which is better?

For gaming I recommend nothing less than the HD 4670.

well im getting this board today and it has a intergrated video but im going to add this card cause i dont wanna blow alot on a machine. http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=5024447&CatId=4297. i can use it in crossfire tech so it shouldnt be too bad this is the only card they have thats crossfire ready. and since im not paying for it hey lol. I have a instore credit laying around im going to use. they have a 9500gt but its stream processors are on ly 30 and this ati has 80. I see the one you named has 320 processors lol nice! ANYTHING is better than a pentium d 820 and gforce 9400gt lol. i have a 22inch lcd monitor.

Get the HD 4670, not the HD 4650. And avoid brick and mortar stores like Best Buy. You'll pay a lot more there than online.

The Hd 4670 can run Crysis on most medium settings at a low to med resolution.

Just wanted to say thanks to everyone who was patient enough to help me thru this moment. Well I decided to ditch ati crossfire crap and go with nvidia 9800gt 1gig gddr3 this(http://www3.pny.com/9800-GT-EE-1024MB-PCIe-P2860C331.aspx) and this board and cpu Gigabyte MA785GM-US2H Motherboard w/ AMD Phenom II 550 CPU w/Fan Bundle this(http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=5024447&CatId=4297) I should be able to run crysis now right lol. Considering i had a crappy pentium d 820 and a 9400gt lol. Thanks again Viper and the rest that helped.

i have that exact motherboard and processor

the motherbaord isnt bad, but i only bought it as a temp, ill be upgrading soon. the processor is a beast and performs extremely well in most games.

i can get mine to 3.92 with a tuniq tower 120 HSF. keep at at 3.8 for gaming though. very nice
