APPROXIMATE PURCHASE DATE: In the Month

BUDGET RANGE: $400- $500 U.S.

SYSTEM USAGE FROM MOST TO LEAST IMPORTANT: Emails, Outlook, All the Microsoft Office Tools, surfing the internet, Word processing matters.

PARTS NOT REQUIRED: OS.

PREFERRED WEBSITE(S) FOR PARTS: Newegg.com

PARTS PREFERENCES: Case is my only concern, Mini Micro ATX? or should I try ITX... Has to be kind of small.

OVERCLOCKING: Negative

MONITOR RESOLUTION: As good as I can get, I was looking at ACER 19" or HANNS-G 19" for $120.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: This is for my supervisor, she is needs a computer at home pretty soon,

I would say something with a good 500GB,
Nothing much on graphics, could just go onboard maybe.

And things you can save more on -
1. Mobo - If you drop to the 740G mobos, that would save about $20...
2. If you get some cheapo case for less than $30 + $40 for a good 300/350W PSU, again save about $20 there...
3. RAM - Dropping to 2GB also saves about $15...

Ram could drop to 2gb,

ASrock vs. Biostar on the 790gx or 780g.

Also, I was looking at the Rosewill case, looks nice for a mini mirco atx with a 300w for only $49.99

OS is something Im editing into the first post, She doesnt need it, I have it for her.

Also, Was looking at the WD Caviar Blue 320gb..

^ Both ASRock and Biostar have similar quality...So get which ever is cheaper...
As for that CASE, yes even I saw that case...but was worried about the quality of that PSU...that is why I listed that Antec...
But its OK if everything is going to be stock...

Hope she likes it :p

As for the HDD, make sure you get the AAKS and not the AAJS...It is faster...

For $5 more, you can get the Samsung...
And actually the Samsung F3 that I had listed is the latest from Samsung, that has a single 500GB platter like the Seagate...and in reviews, it has come out with pretty good performance...

But maybe as the drive is new, you might as well decide for yourself...

Updated list above. ~Bump~

I like the Case Outlander found due to fan input, Push air in and pull air out over the motherboard + vents in back. Not much more over the piano black antec.

Seagate is another look at from yesterday. I've had Seagate for a long time and never have had any faults or errors.

Ram, I decided on g.skills yesterday just never re-posted.

Thanks yall.

My suggestion :p

Thanks for the suggestion but im pretty set. I did say I have only the OS and im going to need the extra $20 that i have to get a keyboard and mouse to top off the $500.

and to help out.

4gb wouldn't be needed in a home / office computer, only 2gb ~ I did mention no gaming, maybe "maybe" solitaire type.

I did mention a small mini micro ATX only, no desktop on ground position tower,

I wouldnt want to downgrade the 785g that I already have chosen to a 760g.

but, thanks for the input and will to try.
