What is the best SSD to buy for reliability and secure data?

I want to upgrade my laptop to a better SSD because the hard drive tend to be slow when I download 10 things at the same time. I need something to write fast. I was thinking of a SSD and found out that Intel is the far most best one out there for reliability. I know its speed isn't that great but hey, atleast it does better than my existing hard drive. Ok, so my question is how reliable are SSD? Do they last 3 years far most or are they easy to recover for data loss like hard drive? If I am buying Intel 320 series, is a good time to buy it now? What about 520 series? Should I wait now or should I buy now? Thanks

Intel 320. Intel just announced they extended the warranty from 3 to 5 years. They must be pretty confident about the quality and longevity of the drives.

new 330, and 520 series will not be available until sometime during the last 3 months of this year.
