im getting a xfx 4890 1gb xxx Ed.

i've been reading about the time of response (5ms vs 2ms), and contrast ratio, etc but still cant decide which is the best choise..

which monitor, from 1680*1050 to 1920*1080 would u recomend?

im not from the us and in my local store ( http://www.tranza.com/softis/pl/22/ ) ive seen some:

- Acer 20-X203WB 1680x1050 LCD Wide-Screen 5 MS - $159

- Viewsonic 19-VX1940W 1680x1050 2Ms LCD Wide-Screen - $165

- LG 22-L222WS 1680x1050 LCD Wide-Screen 5 Ms - $195

- LG 22-W2243S 1920x1080 LCD FULL HD 5ms - $199

- viewsonic 22-VX2240W 1680x1050 LCD Wide-Screen 2 Ms - $199

- samsung 23-2333SW 1920x1080 LCD FULL HD 5ms - $237

the samsung kind of goes out of my budget but i can make an effort maybe XD

Since you said no to the samsung:

- LG 22-W2243S 1920x1080 LCD FULL HD 5ms - $199

h a 1920 x 1080 panel because the 4890 is definitely powerful enough .

I wouldnt even consider the lower resolution .

ive been reading and i decided to go for a 2ms response monitor..

so this cuts to:

- viewsonic 22-VX2240W 1680x1050 LCD Wide-Screen 2 Ms - $199

- samsung T220 1680x1050 LCD 2 Ms - $237

any opinions?

Yea.. that resolution on a 4890 wouldnt be all that great.

5ms = 5 milliseconds, your eye wont tell the difference in 5ms <>2ms.

so im between this two:

- samsung t220 2ms 1680x1050
http://www.tranza.com/softis/pv/2692/SAMSUNG-LCD-T220/

and

-samsung 2333SW 1920x1080 full hd
http://www.tranza.com/softis/pv/30 [...] 2333SW-HD/

a friend of mine told me that for gaming, i should go for 2ms..but maybe since the difference isnt noticeble, better to go with full hd 1920x1080

what do u think?

You want to match your resolution with your card, 1680x1050 can still run the card but, you will be better off going for the 1920x1080 on the 23" thats only $10 more than the 22" at 1680x1050

Heres another:
