Hi, I have done a lot of research about this. I've seen many forums but I'm not convinced. I was hoping you fine people would help me.

I want to play GTA 4 in 1440 x 900 resolution (my monitor is 19") and all settings at maximum with intel q9550 @ 2.83 GHz. I want to know if GTX 275 is better going with than GTX 285 as people say at this resolution both the cards perform equally.

PS : I'm not interested in overclocking my CPU or GPU.

That game uses more of ur CPU that your GFX card it seems. Either card would work fine. 275 is best bang for your buck from what it says here on Toms. I use a 260 on GTAIV with a Core i7 920. Runs at a solid 60fps with Vsync on max settings at 1600x1050. I think my average score in the benchmark was 58.7 fps.

@MGDJoker : Yes, it is more of a CPU game because it uses Euphoria game engine. What X58 mobo do you use? And what is the combined cost of i7 920 and the mobo?

This is what i got from TigerDirect. EVGA X58 LE, i7 920, 6gbs Corsair XMS RAM, plus the BFG GTX260 was 800 bucks on the dot. with the i7 kit with RAM i believe it was about 640$
