msi k9n2, six drives-3 in RAID 5, 2 in RAID 0, 1 not RAID. At startup (Windows XP-64 Pro) MediaShield tells me the single drive needs formatting. There is data on this drive and the system sees it (I use it daily). Why is MediaShield asking me to format it?

Old HD with old data probably wasn't formatted under AHCI. Back it up and reformat it as a JBOD.

Thanks. I backed it up and followed the MediaShield prompts to format it as SPANNED. It did not actually do a format as it only took a few seconds and all my data is still there. The message has gone away.
