I have this computer but want to sell it to help pay for my new build, just wondering what it could be worth

Intel Pentium D 920 3.0 GHz with 800 FSB
2 Gigs PC4200 RAM
New 500 Watt power Supply
320 Seagate Hardrive at 7200.11 RPMs
Lightscribe DVD/CD Combo drive
EVGA 9800 GT 512MB 256 bit GDDR3 Memory
Widows Vista Home Premuim

I was hoping to get 500$ or 450$ out of it, but Im not sure....

Any input is appreciated! :D

My estimate would be $300 max.

I would break that system down in parts, reuse the operating system, lightscribe drive, hard drive and maybe the power supply for the new build.

Sell the mobo, cpu, ram & video card on ebay for what you can.

You should get around 100 for the cpu & mobo, 80 bucks on the video card and 20 bucks on the ram. This will put 200 in your pocket, save you 100.00 on the OS, 20 on the dvd drive, 50.00 on the hard drive and another 80 on your power supply.

parts sold on ebay-------------------- 200.00
money saved reusing old parts----- 250.00
Total-------------------------------------- 450.00

You just made 450 bucks on your old system. Congratulations! ;)

Maybe you can get $300-$400 on craigs list if you post it as a gaming machine and highlight the 9800GT. You don't want them focusing on the anemic CPU after all :D.

^+1 on what englandr753 said. You won't get a better deal considering that people can buy a brand new rig for about $350 with a much better cpu than the PentiumD. I wouldn't dish out more than $200 for your whole rig.

***BTW the new forum ranking system sucks !!!***
