Better at what? For graphics/gaming etc, never, ever use anything with intel inside. Both ATI and Nvidia graphics are much better, in this case the ATI is best of all by a decent margin.

Thanx 4 the reply jennyh. But what about the processor,I think Intel c2d is better than AMD. so I'm thinking that the Intel c2d with the ATI will be the right combination. &thanx again

The intel is the best cpu yes. It depends on what you will be using it for though.

Say the intel is 10% better at running spreadsheets, word etc...thats fine. Problem is, the intel graphics are so bad, they cannot compete with ATI or Nvidia.

Check this link out for a good example of what intel graphics are like, even with better cpu's the intel graphics just drags it down :-

The intel is basically a slideshow, the AMD is playable. If you don't play games and never intend to do so, sure buy the intel. Anyone else should buy a laptop with ATI graphics (best choice) or Nvidia graphics (2nd best choice).

Also, you didnt link anything with intel cpu and ATI graphics. The first one is intel/intel, 2nd is amd/ati and 3rd is amd/nvidia. :)

If you can find anything with an intel cpu and ATI graphics you'll be doing pretty well. Try to get a 3200 HD graphics chip as a minimum and you'll be pretty happy with that.

Yes.

Intel cpu with an ATI or Nvidia gpu would be pretty good, AMD cpu with ATI/Nvidia gpu is also good.

The only thing you can do wrong is buy a laptop with an intel igp. Avoid everything that has an intel GMA graphics chip.

For the best affordable gaming experience without losing much elsewhere, try to get 3200 HD graphics. The Nvidia's are almost as good but usually cost more too - that's why you'll pay a lot more for intel cpu and Nvidia gpu compared to AMD cpu/ATI gpu...but more often than not the AMD/ATI will be more powerful in graphics while not being far behind in apps.
