First attempt at overclocking my cpu...But I need some help, getting some issues!

AMD 940 @ 3.6ghz 1.45v (18x) - idle temps 38-45, load 50-55.

After overclocking my processor everything seemed to be great; huge performance gain but noticeable temp differences. Though, I'm also receiving persisting issues with my display. Not sure if this is a overclocking issue or not...because I did install new display drivers a bit after overclocking. Should this be re-directed?

What I did:

-Turned on PC
-Entered BIOS
-Set Overclock
-Saved and Exited
-Windows loads properly / display works / cpu seems to be functioning
-Ran a 'Prime95' stress test is successful / 3.6ghz (18x) @ 1.45v 'OK'
-Entered sleep mode / returned; no display on wake-up
-Shutdown PC / pc turned on; no display on start-up
-Reset default clock speeds and volts / default settings
-Loaded default settings / windows loads properly
-Sleep mode and shutdown work properly on stock

Some other perhaps useful information:

MSI 6870 HAWK
VISTA HOME 64
M4A79 Deluxe
GSKILL 6GB DDR2 800
TX650W PSU
P221W MONITOR

Any suggestions?
