New monitor for gaming and movies

im interested in knowing if going from 19inch lcd to a 26 or 28 will be good? i have a hd 4870 512mb and a phenom 710 unlocked and oc to 3.2ghz..

i like the fact that it's 1900x1200 rather than 1080p. it is better to type a paper on it.
