How do i format a hard drive with a windows 7 disc

Hello,
i have a new computer and i installed my old hard drive,i know that i have to reformat the drive in the new computer becouse i am using a differnt motherboard,but after putting my windows 7 disc in i don't get any options to formate instead after going thru the loading files screen i get the blue screen i have trying using the r key to get to the comands but i dont get any help there

When you boot from your win 7 disk you should get the option to go to the command prompt. Then just type in format c: or what ever your drive letter is.
