Hello All,

I am trying to find the best fit for a $2000-$2500 computer with Monitor. Here is what I configured, and is the best price I can find anywhere. I am sorry if it did not copy as a link.

I am a multipurpose user, Gamer first, then Pics, music, business etc... I will purchase Student office seperate.

I have thought about overclocking, but have never done it. I am familiar with PC's but have never put one completely together. I looked at the Budget Surplus system in MaxPC for $1420, and it looks good.

I am trying to find the best monitor that will support 1920, and is decently priced. I dont want to spend over $400-$450 for it. I will watch movies on it, and for sure my kids will.

I appreciate any feedback, as I am just not up to date with todays technology.

Swap the 950 for the 920, then change to a corsair 750TX, its better than whatever generic PSU that cyber power PC uses. Get 1 GTX275 or 1 HD 4890, at 1920x1200 you wont need a GTX295, if you ever need to upgrade your performance 2 GTX275s or 2 HD 4890s out perform a GTX295.

Also dont pay that extra for the NIC, all motherboards support gigabit ethernet these days, you wont get any noticeable difference from that NIC, certainly not $130 worth of difference.

Have you considered building it yourself? CyberpowerPC doesnt charge a ton of overhead onto their prices but it still comes out marginally cheaper if you build it yourself.

Thanks for the quick feedback. I like the suggestions. I have thought about building, I am a little nervous, but if I have all the right parts, I would do it. I think I could save about $400 on this system?

Any monitor suggestions?
