I need an input on my new build. Graphic card is the component that I'm really not sure about. I think HD4980 is the best choice for me in this price range. I'm also not sure about what brand to get. What I had in mind was ASUS with ML cap(900Mhz) but I think that item is discontinued on newegg.com. Not sure if it will be offered again and if I should wait for it. All inputs and comments are welcome.

thank you

The zalman doesnt rate well as a cooler , check out frostytech

the 750 gig drive is slower than a 640 or 1 gig

x48 mb is very expensive , so if you are only using one gfx card stick with a p45 mb , and dont buy "features" you will never use . Id stick with a ddr2 mb since the whole 775 platform is finishing

850 watt psu is way overkill . Once its dead you dont shoot it again cos its a waste of bullets , right?

650watt for 1 4890 , 750 for 2 in crossfire

Bump :) Still need an advise on the graphic card.

highest 4890 you'll find is the 4890 toxic wich has the vapor x cooling with the 4890 atomic overclock but the atomic gets damn hot so get the toxic

Reply to obsidian86

nice, you've got an ES CPU which was never released.

Reply to Helloworld_98

wasn it ? thought the qx 9770 was the one not released ?

Reply to obsidian86

Toxic is out of stock at newegg.com. Do you guys have any recommendation to where I can get it? If not then Ill just get the xfx one and overclock it myself plus its cheaper!

thanks

Reply to atomboy

if you got some good cooling get the atomic or get the vapor x its got better cooling then the xfx
