MA790GPT-UD3H Dual Channel error?

Hey all,

I'm running a Phenom II X3 720 BE on a Gigabyte MA790GPT-UD3H. Ram = 2x 2 GB Corsair Corsair XMS3 RAM (Dual Channel).

Problem: Dual channel is not working.

Thoughts? Help would be much appreciated!!

I've already tried:
CPU-Z and AMD Overdrive reads "Single channel"
Checking config - OK. Configuration: Channel 0,2 = RAM, Channel 1,3 are empty.
Disabling RAM sharing to onboard video card - doesn't fix the problem. For those of you who don't know, the 790GPT has an onboard HD 3300 w/ 128 MB DDR3 Sideport which can use system RAM to improve its performance. Some people have theorized that that sharing would disable dual channel. After disabling that feature, dual channel has not turned on.

I'm not quite sure exactly where you are getting your nomenclature...
The actual silkscreening on the board delineates:
DDR3_1 (blue slot, closest to CPU)
    DDR3_2 (blue slot)
    DDR3_3 (white slot)
DDR3_4 (white slot, farthest from CPU)

    The channel organization is:
    Channel 0: DDR3_1, DDR3_3
    Channel 1: DDR3_2, DDR3_4

With two sticks, you want your DIMMs in the two blue slots, closest to the CPU...
  2. @ Bilbat, thanks for your help - it worked!! :)
