MSI X58 Platinum + OCZ3G1600LV6GK + I7 920 = Wont work properly

I have my CPU overclocked to 4.0(200x20) and it is stable(ran 20 passes of intel burn in with ram timings+voltage set on AUTO with ram speed @ 1200) however when I try to set it to 1600, things dont go so well. I manually set the timings to 8-8-8-24-2t left the "advanced" settings on AUTO, set the voltage to 1.65V(OCZs recommendation) and wont get me into windows. Am i missing something here? Is there a memory setting i should try?
