Windows XP Reinstall with Wireless Keyboard

My keyboard will not work and I have tried 2 other keyboards and they don't work. I called Gateway andthey told me it is probally the driver and I will have to get it replaced. QUESTION:: Can I just purchase a new wireless keyboard? Will that work without me bringing my computer in for repair?

1 - go into device manager for the KB and update your driver. If that does not cure it, in device manager for KB, properties, roll back the driver.

2 - You do not have to take computer in for KB problem.

3 - Yes you can replace with wireless mouse.

Device Manager
Right click My Computer > Properties > harware > Device manager
locate keyboard. and do above.
