i have an idea and its going to be big, but i need to have some kind of an idea of what i am getting into in regards to the financial committment required for the hardware... the site will operate much like craigslist and will have approximately the same volume... any info i can get would be helpful... also, if there are any tech people in lima, peru who would like to help us set this up, we should be able to work something out...thank you.

You expect to get 9 billion page views per month? That's what they were getting two years ago, if you can believe this blog.

Also according to the blog, they handled the load with 120 cheap Linux servers.
