The Antec EarthWatts 650w requires a minimum load of 0.5A on each +12v rail as stated by its specs. However, I currently don't have a GPU which requires a PCIe connector, which in the EarthWatts is fed only by the +12v3 (3rd rail). Will the PSU turn on just fine without any load on this rail?
Since all rails in multi-rail PSUs come from one big 12v rail, then the 0.5A requirement should be for all the +12v rails combined. Or not?
Any help is appreciated.
