I'm using that cooler on each of my 4870s - they significantly reduce temps & noise. They are almost silent until you get the fan speed up around 90% (in relation to the case fans). If you can get one, I'd highly recommend it.

That's why I said "if you can get one" - like an ebay seller who ships internationally.

I've heard that the Arctic Cooling Accelero S1 does a nice job, never used one though. Downside with this one is that it's passive, so you need good air flow in your case. I would assume that this would be even more important when the card is under a full load.

i have 2 fans, 1 front - 120m fan and 1 - 92 silent fan at the back.
but actually i have 1 nexus 120m silent fan that im not using, i could put it on the left side of the case perhaps? also do you mean the "Arctic Cooling Accelero S1 rev.2"? or just the "Arctic Cooling Accelero S1" that you mentioned. :)?
the "rev. 2" is cheaper :O

Dunno actually.. I guess the rev 2 since it's newer and less expensive. I would think that the addition of a side panel fan would be just fine. It would be up to you to find out if intake or exhaust works best for you though.
