I just assembled my PC. It has a AMd Phenom II X4 965 on a MSI 790FX-GD70 motherboard. Under the column "Package', CPU-Z shows Socket AM2+ (940). Should it not be socket AM3?
Its a glitch in CPU-Z, my 955 shows as an AM2+ as well. Its not important really, its actually an Am3 socket, you can tell because the AM2+ socket has 2 more pins, if it fits in an AM3 board its an AM3 CPU, and all 965's are AM3. Im pretty sure this mix up is caused because the 940 came out first and is AM2+ and the AM3 ones probably use the same line as their socket identifier.
