I have set up a shortcut on the desktop to:

http://www.24hgold.com/english/gold_silver_prices_chart...

When I double click the shortcut the following message is dispayed:

Windows cannot find 'http://www.24hgold.com/english/gold_silver_prices_chart...'. Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again. To search for a file, click the Start button, and then click Search.

The problem is that Firefox starts & successfully goes to the website in spite of the message.

I have discovered that THE MESSAGED IS DISPLAYED only if Firefox is NOT ALREADY RUNNING. If Firefox IS RUNNING the error message is NOT DISPLAYED.

It seems that there might be an issue with the time Firefox takes to startup.

Perhaps there is a "delay" setting in Win XP to allow a program to startup before an error message is displayed.

Any other suggestions?
