955 BE High temps...

Firstly here are my system specs:

AMD Phenom II 955BE @ 3.8 GHz
Nvidia Geforce GTX 460 @ 800 MHz core clock
4gb Kingston ram
Cooler Master Hyper 212+
Vantec ION2+ 600w

As you can see I have OCed my 955 to 3.8 ghz and it's currently at 1.416v with the multiplier at 19. Is this a good overclock for this voltage?

Also, I think the temps I am getting are a little high. In prime95 I was getting from 60-63 degrees after 30 mins but it was stable. The highest I've gotten while gaming was 57 in BF3 beta so that's ok right?

My idle is around 37-40 and ambient is around 18 degrees. Is this normal?

I have reseated the heatsink many times but the temps don't change much. How much thermal paste is supposed to be used?

I was hoping to get 4 GHz but i need to get the temps down first...

Thanks for all your help!!!

EDIT: Is it worth ocing the NB frequency? mine is currently on auto with the cpu-nb voltage set to 1.1v. what's the max recommended voltage for the cpu-nb? Thanks again!

More about high temps
  1. Seem stable is good , don't change anything and keep your nb at 2000, it will give more stability for system, look your temp reach max at 63C .. Small high from revommend (60C), if you more cool try use fan pushpull at hyper 212
  2. Any more suggestions?
  3. See if you can get a lower voltage on it, I reckon that will help
And as previously asked, do you have two fans on the 212 or just the one?
Two will get you a few degrees breathing room
