Hi,

Firstly here are my system specs:

AMD Phenom II 955BE @ 3.8 GHz
ASUS M4A87TD/USB3
Nvidia Geforce GTX 460 @ 800 MHz core clock
4gb Kingston ram
Cooler Master Hyper 212+
Vantec ION2+ 600w

As you can see I have OCed my 955 to 3.8 ghz and it's currently at 1.416v with the multiplier at 19. Is this a good overclock for this voltage?

Also, I think the temps I am getting are a little high. In prime95 I was getting from 60-63 degrees after 30 mins but it was stable. The highest I've gotten while gaming was 57 in BF3 beta so that's ok right?

My idle is around 37-40 and ambient is around 18 degrees. Is this normal?

I have reseated the heatsink many times but the temps don't change much. How much thermal paste is supposed to be used?

I was hoping to get 4 GHz but i need to get the temps down first...

Thanks for all your help!!!

EDIT: Is it worth ocing the NB frequency? mine is currently on auto with the cpu-nb voltage set to 1.1v. what's the max recommended voltage for the cpu-nb? Thanks again!
