hi i live in cuba,my family is going to send me an i7 system, i'll just have to tell them which components.I've think of Intel DX58SO MB,core i7 920 cpu, evga gtx260 896 mb 192 stream processors graphics card($152 at amazon.com) and corsair dominator TR3X6G1600C7D (6gb,1600Mhz,7-7-7-20)(about this memories i've not found too much reviews in internet, i don' t know if intel mb can see them as 1600 mhz,7-7-7-20 memories through XMP)Do you think this system is right for me (durability and strength)? Do you recommend another system?.I must try the MB i choose is solid enough because RMA process would be large to me.Also which CPU cooler do you recommend?
this is the components i think are ok for me
Intel DX58SO Extreme Series X58 ATX Tri-Channel DDR3 16GB SLI or CrossFireX LGA1366 Overclocking Utility Desktop Board - Retail
Intel Core i7 920 2.66GHz 8M L3 Cache 4.8GT/sec QPI Hyper-Threading Turbo Boost LGA1366 Processor
Corsair TR3X6G1600C7D Dominator 6 GB PC3-12800 1600 MHz 240-pin Triple Channel Core i7 DDR3 Memory Kit CL7
eVGA e-GeForce GTX260 SC 896MB DDR3 PCI-Express 2.0 Graphics Card with Free Special Edition EVGA Precision Overclocking Utility (i know this card is more than enough for my needs)
CORSAIR 750w TX Series 80 Plus Certified Power Supply
Western Digital Caviar Black 1TB Hard Drive - 7200, 32MB, SATA-300, OEM

My main doubt is which motherboard to choose and if RAM will be detected as specs.
I want this system for video encoding, fast performance(high productivity) and lite gaming (only game i play now its mvp baseball 2005 modded). I have an LG W2242TQ 22'' lcd monitor(1680x1050).I'd like to overclock cpu to 3.33 ghz, my budget is 1000-1100 usd i want to replace MB,CPU,RAM,Graphics Card,PSU,hard drive and CPU cooling
Thank you very much for your support

Don't get the GTX 260 with 196 SPs. Get either the one with 216 SPs or the Ati 4870 for the same price or if you want to but in a few extra dollars, the 4890.

Thanks everyone for your help,i've never overclocked because I've used intel motherboards almost all the time.
which board do you think i should buy intel, asus, gigabyte, evga?I've heard evga and asus has many DOA motherboards and gigabyte has no fan control
Yes i think gtx260 216 sp is better , and even better than ati 4870.
I need to be buy the less probable DOA motherboard!!! My RMA process would be large.
