Hitachi xl2000

I just purchased a Hitachi XL2000 to use as my Time Machine back up. I began backing up 62.63GB of data yesterday at 7 a.m. The thing is still trying to back up and is about half way and it is six a.m. of the next day. Is this thing truly that slow that it takes more than a day to back up 62.63 GB?

It should take an hour or so at the most. Stop the backup and try again.

Thanks, That is what I thought and did that and it continued to spin. So I took it back to the place I purchased it and traded it up for a quieter Seagate Model.
