Ok so I recently built a new computer and I wanted to see how all my temps were so I installed speedfan and I was extremely worried with one of them! Speedfan is recording something as 127 degrees C. Now that's melting temps, so I immediately shut down my comp to go into my BIOS/CMOS and saw that my CPU was running at 39 degrees C and my motherboard was at 33 degrees C. Also my GPU idles around 35 degrees and my hard drive is at 30 degrees C. So i have no idea what speedfan is recording so high. It's Temp 3 for IT8720F.
Here's my build: Core i7 920 ASRock Extreme x58 G.SKILL 6GB (3 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Model F3-12800CL9T-6GBNQ HIS Radeon HD 5870 WD Black Caviar WD1001FALS 1TB CORSAIR CMPSU-850TX 850W Thermaltake Element S case

Windows will crash at about 75c, so if your system is stable and you get these high temps, don't believe them. I use coretemp. I had alot of accuracy issues with various software; stopped using it for a long time. I recently went back to coretemp so I could monitor a dual core amd on a sempron heatsink. Both cpus are rated at 45 watts, so I decided to skip a heatsink upgrade.

127C means that there is likely no temperature sensor for it to get a reading from. Nothing is running hot, it is just trying to get data from a sensor that doesnt exist. Not all motherboards have all of the possible temperature sensors.
