I have a cable that has a USB connector on one end and an 4-wire ethernet-like connector that has a small "guide" along one side, at the other end. It does not plug into a regular ethernet plug with the additional guide or "lip" on it. What kind of connector is it and where do I use it?

It has to be a USB cable, but a picture would help.
