Hi everyone,

I am eager to buy a new laptop and I found some interesting bargains on the Net, but hesitating mostly between 2; one has a radeon 4650 and the other a 9700 GT..they both have a centrino duo (one at 2.4Ghz with the 9700GT, the other at 2.13 with the Radeon 4650), 4Go Ram. Considering that I mostly want a gaming laptop, which one would be the most suitable?
I also wanted to know if it was maybe worthwhile getting a 9800 GT?

Thank you in advance for your advises!

both cards offer similar performance. 9700gt seems a little bit faster as my friend using it i saw him running crysis in high medium settings in 1280 resolution and i find out that 9700gt runs much cooler in his small config. but if the price difference is a lot then get the lowest one because both does almost same thing in the game. dont go for 9800gt laptop because they are overpriced IMO.

Thanks a lot for your answer!
i was also wondering about the CPU: one is P8600 @ 2.4Ghz, the other P7450 @2.13Ghz, does it lead to a significant difference or not?
By the way, the 9700Gt one (with the p8600) is like 100£ more expensive than the other one.

Tanks in advance!

seems like the price difference is 167USD. in that case i would stick with the p7450 one because in games the difference between the p8600 and p7450 is very little. But u should consult more people about the price because i really dont have idea about the price in UK. so i hope someone here will make it more clear to u. but at summary the price difference is huge for a little performance gain that i think doesnt justify.

Another thing dont expect high quality gaming if ur resolution is above 1280 for both of the cards. neither will deliver u good performance in say 1600 resolution ( yes u may play games in high-medium settings or medium settings most of the games but not all high or very high settings). IMO laptop is very costly to game with. i would go for a desktop for gaming and with the similar money i pay i would get twice the power than the laptop. and also in high end laptops i have seen heat is always an issue. i have seen 8800gt or even 8400gs laptops which gets very hot. but anyways if u really in laptop gaming its ur choice. u will pay a lot though but ultimately its the satisfaction at the end :)
