Hello,
My HP m7160n had only 1 gb ram (2-512mb) so I contacted Crucial for the proper ram cards to update with-two 1gb cards. After I installed them I now get boot disk error message. Removed new cards and reinstalled original ram cards-same message appears. Then tried recovery disk insertion, but says it can't find hard drive! HELP!!! WHat is happening? Never had this issue before.

While installing the RAM chips, it is possible that one of the disk drive cables got loose. Check all cables. If that does not solve the problem, change the SATA port into which the hard drive is plugged in. You also need to enable this port in the BIOS.
