Any word on the official release date of this cpu? So far everything I read was about 2 weeks ago it was going to be released. There's alot of talk about it but nothing for solid dates I've seen as of yet.

I've never seen anything about this chip other than rumor running around forums. I'm still not convinced it'll ever exist, in fact with AMD getting rid of the Phenom II X3 series I'm even more convinced we won't see it.

Well AMD did recently remove the 710 and 720 from their processor priceing list on their website, which usually indicates a product is no longer available to order. Phenom II X4 800 series was completely removed from the list as well.

Well what I meant is that they have enough x3 CPU's for quite a bit or until they are EOL, if a CPU was removed from their list that normally means it is due to not being competitive enough to sell well like it's counterparts. The x3 720 is one of the best CPU's AMD has to date as far as price to performance goes.

Do you have any links that show the x3's departure any time soon?

Newegg is still selling them like hotcakes....
