Lacie drive clicking - firewire 800

i have 4 lacie hard drives, but can get only two to work when i daisy chain on fire 800, they just sit there and click any help
would be appreciated

do they work one at a time when connected directly to the computer?

Could be insufficient power to the 4 HDDs. Does each one have a separate power block, or are you running them from a common power supply line?

o.k. , two fire800 ports one containing two daisychained lacie's works o.k., any more and the extra drive(s) just click. Tried second port with a single drives still just clicks. The firewire card has a powerw connector hook up.

Any help appreciated
