Power supply for xfx radeon 4870 hd

It's plenty, as long as your maximum output is close to it's advertised wattage. I run mine (XFX 1GB) on a Cooler Master 600watt, no problems at all, and I also run it with a AMD Phenom II, which can be rather power hungry. You'll be fine I'm sure.

Personally, I don't know much about that brand. I would imagine even if it dipped down to 550watts, it would still power the 4870. What are your system specs by the way? And also make sure your PSU has two 6 pin pci-e connectors. The 4870 requires those, although it comes with two adapters from 4 pin to 6 pin.

my specs:
amd phenom x4 black edition 2.6 Ghz
hd 500 gb
4gb ram
windows vista ultimate

I want to use 1 of the adapters from 4 pin to 6 pin, the psu only have one 6 pin pci-e connector.
