Corrupted amsint.sys

Started getting a BSOD upon boot up. I could get past it and go into safe mode.

Re-installed XP Home and got "amsint.sys file is corrupted". Should I try re-installing XP again or what?

Run chkdsk /r on your hard drive, as the file may be corrupted due to bad sector.

It is a file for AMD SCSI/NET Controller Added by Microsoft And required
at startup. Strange it would be corrupted since you just reinstalled.

Run sfc /scannow from command prompt, and insert Windows cd when prompted, or boot from the CD and repair-install.

Either way should correct corrupt sys files.
