I'm looking to buy a new monitor for my new built, which will be running on a single or SLI GTX 275.
I want a 23''-25'' max

Budget: 300-400

I will be using it for mostly animation, photoshop and gaming, so I will need a monitor with good response time and well calibrated (have good colors)

I've been looking at these:

Dell UltraSharp 2408WFP

HP w2558hc:

Samsung also has some good monitors..

Suggestions/Opinions?

I have been researching around for a monitor for a long time until I saw the Asus 24 inch. I have the 5ms one because i wanted to save money. No real difference between 5ms and 2ms really. But yeah I love it! Plus its under 200.

At your budget, and for your apps, the Dell 2408 may well be the best option. Can't really say, but my older 2405 has excellent color gamut display for the price.

Graphics professionals tend to use NEC, with the multisync 90 being the most 'popular' due to its calibration capabilities. I'd love to have a multisync 90 30", but just can't justify the price.

Anyways, the Dell 2408, is at the top at the list,I'm gonna see if i can find something simililar with higher responste time (altho i dont think I will, since they r all TN) but I'll give a last try for the research ;)

I'm looking for the same thing. This one looked good to me: Hanns·G HG-281DPB Black 28" 3ms Widescreen HDMI LCD Monitor. ~$300 on newegg.

What are thoughts on the value of 1600x1200 vs. 1280x1024? Is a 28" lower-res screen better than a 22" hi-res one?
