I have a HP DV8110 and use Windows XP. One by one my USB ports quit working and around the same time my laptop would be running at 100% cpu. The other day I disabled all my usb ports and viola! My CPU usage went back to normal. Anyone ever deal with this problem before? Anyone ever fix this problem? Some feedback would be greatly appreciated!

Try reinstalling your chipset and mobo drivers. It's clear that your USB ports are putting unnecessary load on your CPU.
