Well I got my new build put together last night.
i5-2500K w/H60
P8P67 B3.1 mobo
Kingston HyperX1600
MSi GTX460 Hawk
I'm currently running and rock solid at 4.5Ghz @ 1.30v. Max temps 65C. Prime95/LinX tested.
Well when I first got it going, I realized what sounded like a second HD in my computer was actually the H60 pump. After reading about, I found out your supposed to disable the Chassy Q-Fan Control where the pump is plugged into. Which I did. This keeps the pump running at 4400rmps constantly. This did dramatically reduce the sound of the pump.. On load when any other fan decides to spin up, I cannot hear it. But during idle.. I can still faintly hear the pump. Sounds like a little HD.
Advice? This is my first time ever using a H60. Is this just something I should expect? Or will it fade away over time?
I appreciate any input, thanks!
