My Dell Gx 240 computer keeps going to standby while I have not set it do so in the power options. Once its in standby mode pressing the power button has no effect on the computer. I tried using a different power supply and the computer worked properly for a while on reconnecting its power supply it worked for exactly a day and the started going to standby again. I cant seem to get to bottom of the problem.
Any help will be appreciatedhttp://img.tomshardware.com/forum/uk/icones/smilies/pfff.gif

What Windows version are you using? AFAIK, once you tell the computer not to sleep, it won't... just making sure if you set the options properly.
