i am planing to buy the grahic card hd 4870 or 4850 with power requrement of 500w so i will need a new psu. after some reasearch i heard how some psu boast 1000w which in reality only offer like 600-700w max. so i was wonder if i bought a Corsair 400w will it be enough power the grahic card?(BTW my monitor and speaker are powered seperately from the pc so iguess it help a little)

The false wattage claim is somewhat true. Poor brands will list their absolute peak wattage instead of sustainable wattage which can be 75% or so of the peak.

Quality brands, like Corsair, will give you what they claim and throw in a 5 year warranty to back it up.

A 400 watt Corsair PSU will power an HD 4850 just fine but if you've got a lot of other components running, overclocking, a half dozen fans, etc....then I don't recommend it for the HD 4870. I'd start that at 450 watts.

Newegg doesn't ship internationally. I'll link you to a reputable UK site.

Here is the 400 watt Corsair you noted - £39.99 inc VAT

Here is the 450 watt PSU I'm recommending - £55.99 inc VAT

u sure it will fit?

Provided you have a standard ATX case, it will fit.

The Packard Bell link you provided doesn't go to your PC, just a product search page.

Antec and Corsair are both solid brands. They also all feature full-range active PFC, so assuming you have a good cord to use for your outlets, they will run on 240V even if you bought versions that came with a USA power cord.
