WHAT IS THE MAX TEMP THAT 980GT CAN WITHSTAN.IN MY CARD WHILE PLAYING CRYSIS WARHEAD AT ADVANCED SETTINGS T GAMER (HIGH) ITS TEMP WAS 70.IS IT OK

on nvidia website they state that max temp for 9800GT is 105C. 70C while playing the game is ok. but if the idle temp is around 80C it is something to be concerned about, while your card might withstand it but its life span is going to be short for sure. in some cases it leads the game to crash even the temp is under 100C

The temp is absolutely fine.
Mine goes upto 85 while playing games(I have the same card ).

70 is nice for that card.I have seen ppl having that card on 90c or above.

You can easily OC it if you want to.

PLEASE STOP YELLING!!!
Capslock =! The Cruse Control to Cool

Your temps are fine.
Nvidia rates your GPU to run at a Maximum Temp of 105°c.
As soon as it hits its maximum temp, it should throttle down to save it self.
If you are still concerned about your current temps, use Rivatuner to crank up the fan speed.

Get a ATI HD 4850 , half the size of the 9800gt , the ati 4850 is a 1gig card, runs at half the temperature even OC'd and the fan is much quieter by far a way better card and don't need to worry about overheating or waterblocks nothing....... Hands down the 4850 is much more worth the money
