Gigabyte P55 or Asus for 1156 socket ? Corsair or G.skill RAM??

I am going to buy a PC this month and confused with the motherboard

The main purpose is 3d animation & gaming .

Budget is around ~$150 for mobo


The config will be :

CPU : Core i7 860 2.80Ghz

Motherboard : Gigabyte P55 UD4P / P55 Asus 1156 Extreme / (or anyone better one from these two in same price range)

Memory : Corsair 4GB DDR3 1600MHz C9 Titanium / G.skill 4 gb kit (2x2gb)

Casing : Cooler Master Elite 334

HD : Samsung spinpoint 1TB @

Power supply :GlacialPower 650W AA

GPU : Radeon HD 4850 1gb


Any other suggestions are welcomr just keep in my folks my total budget is around $800 - $900 .

I've spent a ton of time researching who makes better RAM, and from what I gathered it's pretty much a "Push" when you compare "G.Skill" to "Corsair" Obviously Corsair's name brand makes it cost more. I'm going to go with G.Skill.

I've read so much about Gigabyte and Asus that my head is about to explode :)  In the end I'm going with Asus. I've owned several MB in both brands, but ASUS has always been the better performer. Hope my 2 cents helps! Good luck!
