Hi,

I'm a complete noob to this. Sorry beforehand.

I bought a PC months ago which is:

1.8 Ghz quad-core Phenom

2 GBs RAM

Radeon 3200 HD graphics

I noticed that the graphics card is utter crap when it comes to newer games, however it's fine with what I do most (graphics). I've read that Crossfire enabled mobo's enable a dedicated card to be installed, but something about RAM of the card should be concerned...

My questions:

1) How does this "Crossfire" thing work?
2) Which dedicated card would be the most suitable?

^ Well they were called as hybrid-crossfire - onboard + dedicated...
Card that could enable that mode - ATI 3450
But again I dont think you could see a considerable increase in performance...
So I the best options -
if you dont have a powerful PSU and play @ not more than 1280X1024 resolution - HD 4670
If you have a decent PSU and want to play @ higher resolution - HD 4770/ HD 4850...

Thanks for the reply. I'll take a look at my PSU when I come back home.

And I don't play higher than 1280x1024, too

But if I buy and install a card from the list you've mentioned above, how will this affect my curret intergrated card?

^ You would have to disable the onboard graphics...So you would actually get the memory allocated to the onboard graphics...
And another suggestion for you - Nvidia 9600GSO - Make sure it has 96 cores and DDR3 memory...It would be cheaper than the 4670 and would perform as good...
