Overclocking Phenom 955 to 3.8ghz

I've been working hard to oc my pII955 to 3.8 ghz, but I have been running into stability issues. It will last about 5 hours at 3.8 ghz in prime 95 blend, and then prime95 crashes. Here are my voltages.

CPU NB: 1.4V
NB: 1.15V
CPU CORE: 1.45V
DRAM: 1.65V
NB Frequency: 2400MHZ
Max Temp:53C

Any ideas?

More about overclocking phenom 8ghz
  1. For my Phenom II X4 955 I had to set my CPU CORE to 1.55 for 3.8 ghz stable
  2. Thats high,I heard of people doing it at like 1.4V
  3. All system will be diffrent needed voltage and result oc, Cpu nb at 1.4 ? It's too high need to drop to 1.2-1.3 Set nb at 2000 and fsb (cpu frequency let at 200) just increade multiplier. If you oc at 3.8 vcore 1.4 not enough raise to 1.45v-1.5v
  4. I ran the prime95 at 1.475 vcore, and I lowered the north bridge voltage to 1.35v while keeping the other settings the same, and it lasted 7.5 hours at 3.8ghz before I shut down the PC. Is this long enough? Also, if I planned on overclocking to 3.9-4.0ghz, would changing the memory timing, and overclocking the north bridge help? I am asking because I have read about people doing these things, but I do not understand how they influence the overclocking process.
