I have a netbook that I got a while ago. Recently (3-4 days) it started acting really really slow. I troubleshooted util it led me to re-install windows XP (Without CD). So I went through the steps, and while it was copying files it said that some files were not copied. So I tried to cancel instalation, but it said that I will just need to continue the setup anyway.

So I had to just let the computer ignore it and move on, after 10+ files not copied and skipped. It finished copying and now is installing. After a few minutes, a faltal error popped up. The pop-up is saying it is a specific error code 2.

After that it says this: Setup could not register the OLE Control C:\WINDOWS\system32\netman.dll

Another similar error as above but it is netshell.dll instead.

So I know that I am in a lose lose here, it just restarts and re does this again and again.

My question is, can I get the old one back? And if not what can I do?

I don't have a CD for it. I was using the computers auto recovery. I bought this Netbook at a Verizon and they didn't give me a CD.
