Cpu Cache and upgrade

Currently I am using a AMD Athlon X2 6000+ 2MB Cache CPU. Im thinking about getting the new AMD Bulldozer CPU (Six Core, not eight) and i am wondering on how much of a performance boost will there be. Because its a 14MB cache, and currently on this RTS game called Star-Ruler, I can put 500stars in a galaxy without lag, so would this new Bulldozer CPU allow me to put 3000 stars without lag, because this is a CPU Intensive game.

Can't comment on how much an increase until they are officially released with reviews but it will be a big increase.
